NOT EVERYTHING BLOOMS AT ONCE.
MAKE THIS THE SEASON OF YOU.
It’s June.
We are halfway through the year. And for
many of us, the instinct is to just keep going.
Head down, powering through, one task after
another.
But nature is telling a different story. In the
Southern Hemisphere, it’s winter.
Nature slows down. Trees stop growing. The
soil rests.
No pressure to perform, just time to pause
and store energy for what comes next.
In the Northern Hemisphere, it’s summer.
Everything is growing, but not ready to be
harvested.
This is the season for tending. Feeding what
matters. Letting things take shape.
We are part of nature. Yet we often
ignore its rhythm, pushing ourselves
to keep producing, fixing, solving,
supporting, doing.
All the time.
Especially as women who do too
much. Who hold it all together.
Who rarely stop, in fact, who step
up when someone else needs care.
Here is where one word can make a
difference: The distinction between
caring for someone, taking
responsibility for their needs, and
caring about them, supporting
without overextending, and knowing
when to step back.
Most of us were taught to care for everyone.
To hold it all. But what if we could care about
others while also caring for ourselves?
What if your self-care was reason enough to
pause?
We forget that nurturing is not about
overextending ourselves. It’s about noticing
that what needs care includes us.
