that shame once demanded—and in doing so,
creates a safe space for others to share their
stories too.

We’re honoured to introduce Emmie Barbie, a
finalist in both the Wellness with Heart Award and
the Real and Relatable Voice Award at the Celebrate
Women Awards 2025.
From childhood, Emmie carried a deep sensitivity
that others once dismissed but has since become
her greatest strength. Today, as a counsellor, she
transforms that empathy into a safe, compassionate
space for people navigating trauma, anxiety, eating
disorders, and life’s toughest challenges.
Her journey—from shame and struggle to selfacceptance and purpose—embodies the heart of
healing. Emmie shows that wellness isn’t about
perfection, it’s about connection, kindness, and
remembering we are already enough.
Let’s celebrate Emmie for her courage to turn
wounds into wisdom and her gift of helping others
